“Being Ranked 100 Will Give Us Confidence Going Into The Crucial Asian Cup Qualifiers Next Month,” Says Milan Singh

In a move that signals all that’s positive for Indian Football, the Indian National Side has broken into the Top 100 of the FIFA World Ranking, after a gap of 24 years.

With the side heading into a crucial AFC Asian Cup Qualifier next month against Kyrgyzstan, the DSK Shivajians Media Team caught up with recently capped India International Ongnam Milan Singh to hear his views on the joyous occasion.  

“I’m really happy that we’ve made the Top 100. It’s a team effort, and I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to be part of the team. I think, off late, the whole team has been doing well, and each and every department has progressed well. Being ranked 100 will give us confidene going into the crucial Asian Cup Qualifiers next month,” he said.

With Ongnam Milan Singh, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Sumeet Passi and Subrata Paul already receiving National Team Call-ups, the move into the Top 100 will surely see many DSK Shivajians players eager to impress the National Team Coach Stephen Constantine with all to play for in the upcoming Federation Cup. DSK Shivajians have been drawn alongside Mohun Bagan, Bengaluru FC and Shillong Lajong in Group B, and will start their campaign against Mohun Bagan on the 8th of May at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha.
